Services offered by the CMMT

Prototyping Services

The Center for MEMS & Microsystems Technologies offers a wide range of prototyping services for the general MEMS community. The prototyping services are based on the broad technology base available through the CMMT and associated research facilities. The broad technology base allows virtually unlimited flexibility in process design, thus allowing for the optimal MEMS devices and systems to be fabricated. Testing services are available for many classes of micro transducer and micro actuator systems. The prototyping is performed by a group of on-site trained staff research technicians and research engineers. Fees for the prototyping services are based upon the project and are negotiated on a project-by-project basis. For more information, contact the CMMT at mems@mail.ece.gatech.edu. You will be contacted immediately for further discussion.

Consulting Services

The Center for MEMS & Microsystems Technologies offers consulting services for the MEMS community. Consulting services are offered for the design of MEMS devices, the fabrication of MEMS devices, general MEMS facilities / infrastructure, identification of highly qualified MEMS personnel for job openings, and other general MEMS consulting services. The consulting services are offered by the MEMS faculty at Georgia Institute of Technology and by the extended MEMS experts available through CMMT. The knowledge base of the CMMT consultants is extensive, thus allowing for your companies issues to be directly routed to one of the world's leading experts in the selected area of interest. For more information on the CMMT consulting services, contact the CMMT at mems@mail.ece.gatech.edu. You will be contacted immediately and routed to the appropriate consultant(s).

Processing Services

The Center for MEMS & Microsystems Technologies offers fabrication process services. If your company is missing critical processes necessary to fabricate your prototype MEMS components, then the CMMT offers the availability of individual MEMS fabrication processes. Because of the extensive infrastructure available through the CMMT, a very diverse range of fabrication processes can be utilized. These processes range from advanced plastics technologies (e.g., stereolithography, hot embossing, precision injection molding, laser ablation), advanced bulk silicon processing technologies (dry etching and wet etching), advanced ceramics processing (laser ablation) and glass fabrication processing technologies. The processing services are performed by a group of on-site trained staff research technicians and research engineers. Fees for the fabrication processing services are based upon the project and are negotiated on a project-by-project basis. If you are interested in production, we will put you in touch with the appropriate MEMS production facility. For more information, contact the CMMT at mems@mail.ece.gatech.edu. You will be contacted immediately for further discussion.

Design Services

The Center for MEMS & Microsystems Technologies offers design services for the MEMS community. The design services include modeling of sensor and actuator devices / systems. Additionally, the design services include fabrication process design, custom interface circuit design, and packaging. The design services are performed by a group of on-site trained research engineers under the supervision of Georgia Tech MEMS faculty members. Fees for the design services are based upon the project and are negotiated on a project-by-project basis. For more information, contact the CMMT at mems@mail.ece.gatech.edu. You will be contacted immediately for further discussion.
